           Gerald P. Wolf, Esq., is a nationally recognized practitioner, lecturer and author in the employee benefits field. Before founding The Wolf Pension Group, LLC in April of 1999, Jerry was a named Partner in a well respected Mineola based law firm and prior to that a Partner in the Park Avenue law firm of Alexander & Green and an associate at Shearman & Sterling. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Pace University and Long Island University, teaching courses on pensions and executive compensation. He served as Faculty Chairman of the Practising Law Institute’s continuing education program on Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plans for 10 years, and has lectured and written articles for the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, Nassau and Suffolk Academies of Law, Practising Law Institute, N.Y.U. Tax Institute, Touro Law Review, The Journal of Pension Plan Investing, Trust and Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, the Nassau County Society of CLU, and numerous CPA Societies.

           Jerry is a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association Tax Section, as well as the Probate and Real Property Section of the ABA, the Life Insurance and Employee Benefits Committee (former Chairman) of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel and is the only Long Island practitioner selected as a Super Lawyer in the New York Metro region in both 2007 and 2008 in the Employee Benefits/ERISA category.

           Jerry counsels a diverse group of clients in the benefits, executive compensation and estate planning areas. He has served as special ERISA counsel to many of Long Island’s most successful companies (both public and private) and has implemented executive compensation programs and broad-based qualified pension plans (including 401(k) and ESOP) for Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, banks, law and medical firms, and closely-held businesses.

           Jerry is also a published composer of popular and jazz music. One of his songs, “Adam,” has received national radio play and appears on the jazz album, “Arthur Street.” His own album, “The Soul of the Wolf,” has been played on Long Island jazz stations and at local jazz events.
